Hi! I'm Alayna. Here's a few things about me!

Hi! I’m an equine and lifestyle photographer who’s happiest with a camera in one hand and a sweet tea in the other. I love capturing people, their horses, and the little moments that make life feel full—soft noses, shared laughs, warm light, and the connection that shines through when you’re simply being yourself.

When I’m not behind the lens, you’ll probably find me riding, spending time outside, or making friends with animals that don’t technically belong to me. Fresh air, sunshine, and the people and horses in my life keep me inspired and grateful every day. I am graduating in 2026 from Moravian University with a major in Environmental Science, and a minor in Biology, but my heart is with photography!

I believe the best photos come from genuine connection, a little patience, and plenty of heart. If you’re looking for someone who will cheer you on, help you feel comfortable, and capture your story in a way that feels honest and cozy, I’m your girl.

This is my boyfriend, Dakota, and our filly, Olivia!

Even though Olivia has a beautiful blanket (seen on the first photo), she has an equally as pretty face!

This is my gelding, Barney. I bought him as a graduation gift for myself when he was born, and I couldn't ask for a better best friend!

The Story Behind Twisted Willow Media

Twisted Willow Media is more than a name. It's a piece of my heart and a symbol of where I come from. When my childhood dog passed away, my family planted a young willow tree in her honor. She had been my shadow, my comfort, and a constant thread through my early years, so giving her a living tribute felt right. That tiny sapling stood as a reminder of her loyalty and the quiet love she brought into my life.

As the willow began to grow, it taught me something. Willows don’t grow straight and rigid. They twist, bend, and flow with the wind. They are resilient by nature, flexible enough to withstand life’s storms without breaking. Their branches curve in unexpected ways, creating a beauty that comes from movement, not stillness.

Sitting beneath a willow was one of the most calming places I knew. The soft sway of its leaves, the shade it offered, and the sense of peace it carried felt grounding and tranquil. It reminded me to breathe, slow down, and let myself bend rather than break.

When I was searching for a name for my business, nothing seemed to fit. Every idea felt disconnected or forced. I wanted something meaningful, something rooted in who I am and what I value. Frustrated, I stepped outside for a moment, and that’s when I saw it: the baby willow tree sapling, the one planted in memory of my dog.

Suddenly, everything clicked.

The resilience.

The flexibility.

The calm presence.

The deep roots tied to a life I loved.

“Twisted Willow Media” felt perfect the moment it came to me, capturing both the story of where I’ve been and the spirit I want to bring into my work: grounded, adaptable, heartfelt, and quietly strong.

That little tree, and the loyal friend behind it, continue to shape the heart of what I create today.
